Review of Silent Invaders by Shree

About the Book

'Silent Invaders' is a mystery-thriller novel. It revolves around the life of a young woman Sana and the story involves hate crimes which were nurtured due to childhood assaults. Sana develops a horrific mental illness, which impacts her normal life drastically. She remains totally oblivious of what was happening to her and around her. But her near and dear ones finally stir the society to become aware of the reasons and the consequences of the traumatic condition Sana went through.

My Verdict

Starting from the cover, it's a very narrative kind of cover from which you can depict the idea about the book. This book is a Novella, only of 96 pages, so it's a quick read.

The story is of a girl named Sana, who is adopted and going through Multiple personality disorder. The story contains some murders and the mystery involved with them.I found this book more like a South Indian movie Aparichit, where the story goes on same flow as the book. Just the protagonist in this book is female and gone through sexual assault while in the movie the protagonist is male and goes through some trauma. This thing is pretty disappointing. The detailing part of this story is also weak and the story is sometimes very fast paced.

Overall, the impact which the cover had created in my mind flew away with the chapters.
