Review of Heart of Bullets
Story-line: 'The only way to get close to those glittering
stars in heaven is, to look at a soldier with stars on his shoulders' Every
time, they're around, the thing that we see is the bravery awards, medals, the
pride, but what we can't see is their heart that lies inside the iron chest,
some untold stories, sacrifices, and the hardship they've been through. Every
soldier has a story that is unique and extra ordinary. A tale of brotherhood
& heroism, a tale of love & betrayal, 'Heart of Bullets', is about two
best friends, Arpan & Sam, and the untold story of their friendship, untold
story of their love, Shradha, but what happens when Sam gets hit by the enemy -
across the border? What will Arpan do to save his friend? Will love prevail
over friendship of lifetime? There is a decision to be made, is the life
without love, and friends, better than dying to save the one we love the most?
My Take: Done reading the very much engrossing tale
Heart of Bullets by Nikhil Kushwaha. The title and the cover describes the book
as a story of patriotism but the story is much more than that. It’s more a love
story than only a story of patriotism. The author had done a tremendous
effort in this story to show how much an Indian Soldier risks his life, his
happiness and much more things for the glory of our nation.
“Don’t judge a book by its
cover”, this statement proves right once again here. The cover is may be not
that well designed but the story is fantastic. The twists and turns are very realistic
type. The poetry in between the story are so touchy. You will swim through a
pool of emotions while reading it.
Apart from the Goodness
of the story some things were there which loosen up the strings of the book.
There are grammatical errors which can easily be traced by anyone. Little more
editing work would resulted an add-on to this book. The cover was not that
depicting. Some lines were keep on repeating through the whole book. The climax
was a bit dramatic also.
Even if having some
cons still the book is a very interesting tale of patriotism, love and
friendship. A very Good Luck to author Nikhil Kushwaha.
